At CILT (The National Centre for Languages) Matheos was a Lead Designer and Print Co-ordinator, charged with designing various educational publications, including resource publications, book cover design, catalogue, magazines, newsletters, campaign drives and event collateral. Working alongside web developers, publication authors and local authority, Matheos formed an integral part of the marketing team that delivered marketing solutions for the whole organisation.

Cilt plus Be inspired

 
 

At CILT (The National Centre for Languages), the brief was to create a brand that encompassed all CILT's resources, giving access to all CILT's teaching resources. We looked at how we could hold all these resources in one place. Through discovery we found a need to build a website and hold an opening event would help spread the word.

The first part of the brand strategy involved collaborating with all departments within the organization, including teachers and local authority to learn what their needs were and why. Key attributes for the new identity included fun, friendly, informative and engaging.

The 'Be Inspired' visual was an image of a boy and a combination of multiple typefaces and messages. These were overlaid onto the photo. The brand identity was completed with a range of products and services including a website, magazine, poster, pens, leaflets, wall planner, certificates, invites, stationary collateral and a loop animation.
